What are some good tips for getting the best scan?

For optimal results, keep your hands steady, move slowly, and make sure you are in a well-lit room. You can also choose the quality of your scan to prioritize speed or fidelity. We recommend you use ‘medium’ quality for optimal results.

I can’t view my models, what do I do?

To resolve this issue, uninstall and reinstall the app. Your models are stored in the cloud.

Is there anything I can’t scan?

Black and reflective surfaces are very difficult for your phone’s LiDAR sensor to detect. Please avoid scanning black and reflective surfaces whenever possible.

What do the colored mesh lines when I am scanning mean?

The mesh lines you see when scanning simply indicate how close or far an object is from you, which is why those closest to the camera appear red.

Where do I find the web app and what is it for?

Click “My Scans” at the top right of our website homepage to be taken to the Luxolis 3D Platform login. Once logged in you’ll be able to view all your scans and make use of our expansive feature set.

Do I need separate accounts for the app and web app?

No, you can use the exact same account on both the app and web app. Providing a seamless experience regardless of where you login from.

What file types can I export my models as?

Export your projects through our web app to DAE, DRC, GLB, GLTF, OBJ, PLY, STL, and USDZ. These formats are compatible with other 3D software.

What does it cost?

Both our app and the associated web app are free to use.
