Step 1: After downloading and installing the Luxolis 3D Scan app on your iPhone or iPad, log in using your credentials, and you’ll be directed to the app’s dashboard.

Step 2: To begin the scanning process, locate and click the “Scan” button on the dashboard.

Step 3: Point your iPhone or iPad towards the direction of the scene that you want to capture and hit the Record button.

It’s important to follow these simple guidelines while scanning your desired scene with the Luxolis 3D Scan app to achieve the best results possible. Be sure to cover the entire area slowly and thoroughly, taking extra care to capture any twisted or complex areas that may be below eye level by bending down so that the sensor can detect all the hollow spaces. It is also recommended to avoid windows and mirrors during the scanning process, as these can often interfere with the quality of your scan.

Step 4: To complete the scan, click the record button again to signal the app that you have covered the entire area.

Step 5: Provide a descriptive and unique name for your model in the “Model Name” field and then click on the “Done” button to save it.

Step 6: Sit back and relax while your captured data is uploaded and the scene reconstruction is queued.

To help ensure a successful upload and reconstruction, make sure you have a stable internet connection. You can also monitor the progress of the upload and reconstruction by checking the app’s status bar.

Step 7: If your internet connection is lost during the upload process, don’t worry. The app saves the 3D data, and you can upload it again once you have a stable internet connection. To upload your saved 3D data, simply go back to the Luxolis 3D Scan app dashboard and click on the “Upload Scan” button that will show up in the top right corner. This will initiate the upload process for your saved data and the scene reconstruction will be queued.

If you have enabled notifications for the Luxolis 3D Scan app, you will receive a notification on your device once the scene reconstruction is complete. This notification will let you know that your 3D model is ready to be viewed and measured.

Step 8: To view your 3D model, click on the “Scene Scan” button located at the bottom of the app screen.

Step 9: To view your latest 3D model, simply click on it and wait while the app renders the file for display. The time it takes for the file to render will depend on the complexity of the scan. Once the file is ready, your 3D model will be displayed on the screen, allowing you to explore it from all angles and zoom in and out as desired.

Step 10: To measure the length of any object in your 3D model, simply tap on the screen to begin measuring and tap again to end the measurement. The app will display the length of the object in meters. Additionally, you can rotate your 3D model or zoom in and out in any desired direction.
